Hugo Lowell (born March 30, 1999) is a British journalist covering Congress and US national politics. He has written for The Telegraph and The Independent and previously covered sports news for the i newspaper.[1][2][3]

Early life and education[edit]

Lowell was born in New York City. He was educated at the Dalton School, Colet Court and St. Paul's School, London.

Career[edit]

Lowell started his career on the nationals as a sports reporter in 2017 for the i newspaper. He led the paper's coverage of the IAAF world athletics championships later that year and was shortlisted for Young Sports Writer of the Year at the British Sports Journalism Awards.[4][5][6]

Lowell started covering national politics in the United States in 2019. He has written for The Independent[7][8][9] and The Telegraph about news surrounding the Mueller report and the impeachment inquiry against Donald Trump.[10][11][12]
